Construction Worker/3

This competency-based course is the third in a sequence of three designed for construction work. It provides students with technical instruction and practical experience in basic residential and commercial construction using sustainable and green technology. Instruction includes an introduction, workplace safety, and reviews of resource management, trade mathematics, employability skills, and apprenticeship preparation. Emphasis is placed on the techniques, tools, and materials required for finish carpentry, advanced plumbing and electrical work, roofing, and painting. The competencies in this course are aligned with the California High School Academic Content Standards and the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.

 

Prerequisites:
Enrollment requires successful completion of the Construction Work/2 (71-35-60) course.
